The Lutheran Church of the Incarnate Word is a member of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. We are people gathered around the Gospel, around Word and Sacrament, defining the Church. We are, as Martin Luther would say, the "priesthood of all believers." But we are also individuals, unique creations of God, too. No two faces or personalities are exactly alike. People of diverse backgrounds and interests. We are a group of people who assemble from the city and the surrounding metropolitan area. Grounded in strong worship, music, learning, and caring traditions, we are currently challenging ourselves to reach out to our community in creative ways as we focus on the particular mission to which Christ calls us.

We are a Reconciling in Christ congregation which opens wide its doors to people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, their partners and their families, and those who may have been excluded because of other distinctions such as race, economic status, ability, age or station in life.  Come, join your companions at Incarnate Word and continue your journey of faith, around the Lord's Table, learning, celebrating, singing, caring, growing, and serving.  Stop by and check us out!
